Q: What is Yoga?A: In very simple terms, yoga is a system for bringing balance into your body and mind. It involves the physical practice of yoga postures called asanas, and breathing exercises called pranayama. Yoga also includes meditation, self-enquiry and the study of yoga philosophy.

Q: What are the benefits of yoga?A: Practicing yoga creates a flexible, toned and strong body. It can improve breathing, energy levels and metabolism. Additionally, yoga helps to improve immunity, and circulatory, and cardiac health. It also has benefits for your mental health creating less stress and a more balanced life both on and off the mat. Yoga encourages self-confidence, self-compassion, and self-love.

Q: What do I bring?A: Bring water to stay hydrated, a yoga mat if you have one and a towel. We have mats available for rent or purchase if you do not have one.

Q: How hot is it?A: Classes range from 90-105 degrees. We do offer a few non-heated classes but check the description. If the class is not heated, it will say so on the schedule. Otherwise, assume it is heated.

Q: What Class should I try first?A: Beginner’s yoga is a great place to start. This class is designed to outgrow within several classes but will familiarize you with the poses and move slower to create alignment. Discuss the next option with your instructor and review class descriptions to determine where to go from there.

Q: Why Infrared heat?A: The main benefit of infrared is increased flexibility. Muscles open up faster allowing for a greater range of motion. The infrared directly penetrates muscles, tissues, and joints and can offer relief from minor injuries. Infrared also detoxifies the body of impurities at a cellular level – you will sweat. Q: What should I wear?A: Athletic clothing is highly recommended. Clothing should be highly functional, comfortable, and fast drying. Be comfortable!

Q: What other classes do you offer?A: We offer a variety of classes to meet your fitness needs. Although our primary focus is a holistic yoga practice, we recognize that we all need a broader approach to health and wellness. Take a look at our schedule for our non-heated small group classes that include TRX suspension training, circuit training, sculpting, HIIT, Barre and dance cardio.

Q: What if I have a previous injury?A: If you are under a doctor’s care for an acute situation, please be sure to discuss taking yoga classes with your doctor prior to coming. It is always appropriate to talk to the instructor about any existing physical conditions and/or any physical concerns. Yoga benefits many people with pain by helping the body regain its balance between strength and flexibility, movement and awareness. Our instructors can help you with modifications to adjust around most concerns.

Q: Can I do yoga if I am pregnant?A: If pregnant, please consult with your doctor before coming. If you have been practicing prior to pregnancy you should be able to tolerate most classes. There are modifications to be made to make room for the baby. It is important to let the instructor know before class so they offer options to avoid laying on the belly, core work and twisting.

Q: High blood pressure, heart issues or other health conditionsA: Students with high blood pressure, heart or cardiovascular issues, pregnant or recently pregnant, recent surgeries, injuries, or any related past physical or heat-sensitive issues are encouraged to seek the advice of their physician before attending any heated classes.

Do you offer personal training/yoga or private event options?Yes! we absolutely do. Personal one on one classes are based on appointment and instructor availability. Rates vary so we ask that you contact the studio for details. Our Studio is also available for private events like bridal party yoga classes, birthday classes, kids yoga and more. Contact the studio for inquiries and details

Cancellations & RefundsOnline payment for classes must be received prior to the scheduled class time. Cancellations later than 2 hours (8 hours for early morning classes) prior to class start time for any reason will not be refunded or credited. Students with a membership who have booked a space and do not show up to class without prior cancellation will be charged $17.00. Late arrivals will not be allowed to attend class to ensure a peaceful session. All payments are non-refundable and non-transferable. Monthly memberships can be canceled by emailing us at yogisupport@thehavenyogastudio.com . Per the terms and conditions of your membership, a request in writing must be emailed to us 30 days in advance. Members will be charged a prorated amount and amount must be paid. You can freeze your membership for a period of maximum 2 months. You must provide a minimum of 7 days notice and email yogisupport@thehavenyogastudio.com All class passes and memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable. Prices are subject to change without prior notice. Workshops, courses, programs, events and similar classes must be canceled a minimum of 7 days prior to their first start date to receive a full refund.

Waiting ListsWhen a space becomes available in class two hours or more prior to the class start time, the first studio user on the waiting list will be added to the class and the booking system will email the studio user a notification. Studio users must opt-in to receive these notifications. The studio user will need to confirm they wish to attend by replying to the notification email to guarantee their space. If a confirmation is not received prior to the start of class, the studio cannot guarantee the availability of the space. Once the space has been confirmed, our booking terms apply.

Class Changes, Substitutions & Change of TeacherClasses may be canceled by the management, teachers may be substituted or removed, class times may be altered or the days on which they operate may change.
